about

"Beneath the Bog in the Black Forest" is an original tale of horror and mystery in the tradition of the genre's most iconic voices. This unique radio drama is accompanied in this collection by four delightfully spooky yarns performed by the best voices in the business.

In the FEATURE PRESENTATION, Jack Marlin follows his professor into mysterious caverns deep in Germany to uncover the sarcophagus of an early Medieval occultist. What they uncover beneath the bog in the Black Forest baffles, then intrigues, then terrifies Marlin - before it changes his life irrevocably.

In Edgar Allen Poe's THE TELL-TALE HEART, Mackenzie Lee assumes the role of the twisted, murderous narrator as he takes the listener through the details of a recent atrocity - an action that may haunt him, and the listener, forever.

Cody Lint lends his baritone to M.R. James' classic COUNT MAGNUS, a terrible tale of murder and mystery surrounding the awful padlocked coffin of the titular count.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's inimitable detective comes alive through the rich voice of Jordan Phillips as he reads SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE SPECKLED BAND, a closed-room murder mystery rich with Gothic flavour.

Finally, A.S. Ember reads THE MASK by Robert W. Chambers. This disturbing tale of art, alchemy, and doomed romance is written in beautiful prose that belies an undercurrent of sadness that turns to outright horror by its twisted end.
